It was hot. Really hot. But when 180 guests arrive ready to party, the heat quickly becomes part of the story.
Friends and family travelled from around the world to join Georgina & Edward on Menorca, an island tied to Ed’s childhood summers. And true to Georgina’s words, this was nothing less than a fiesta. From the ceremony at Finca Formet to dinner and the party at La Mola - the island’s old fortress overlooking the sea- the setting kept shifting, but the feeling stayed the same: joyful and personal.
A large ensaimada replaced the traditional cake, while a traditional horse show unfolded at La Mola and Pol Roger champagne was poured all night, lovingly shipped in containers by Georgina’s father to make sure her favourite bubbles was there.
You could tell how much these people mean to G&Ed and how much this day meant to everyone in return. I felt genuinely welcomed from the beginning and it’s exactly these kinds of connections that make this work so meaningful to me.
